One thing that sets a good agent apart from a great agent is do they love their work?

Well, I think it goes further than that.

You have to love your area!

That is how I feel about Charlottesville and the real estate I sell.

Beyond that you also need to love working with people.

I look forward to everyday as a new day and the people I meet are a big part of why I love Charlottesville!

Peg, I always get a charge when I meet with someone who has been visiting for a few days. Once they have explored their surroundings and find that they are interested in real estate in my area it strikes me that these people have just caught a glimps of what I already know. My home town is a great place to live .

You are SO right!  I LOVE where I live and work and love sharing it with people looking for just that right place.  I spend as much time selling Lexington and Henderson County Tennessee as I do selling the homes for folks to live in.

I love my area, too!  I love all the things that make San Antonio a unique city.

Peg, I think it does show if you love the area in which you live and work and that will translate into enthusiasm when working with clients.  Charlottesville is just lovely.  We are in metro Atlanta and the Tampa Bay area and they are both just wonderful.

Best of luck to you,

Carole

Peg- Great post and you are absolutely correct!  My office is right around the corner from my home and I love all that my area has to offer.

I agree, it is much easier to "sell" something if you love and believe in it.  This goes for listings, too.  I decided that I am not going to take any more listings that I can't honestly market and promote ad a wonderful property.  Life's too short!
