Dancing in the Active Rain PuddlesI've never been shy about dancing in the rain whether it is a spring shower or a successful closing from Active Rain.  Last night after an early evening closing I took a few minutes to reflect on the end of July and how had blogging added to my bottom line.

If you think the bottom line is all about money it isn't.  At least to me it isn't.  Don't get me wrong money is required to be able to pay the bills and plan for retirement but it isn't the only benefit we can get from blogging.  I've met some great new people and learned some incredible things.  Active Rain connections have opened my eyes to new ways of doing business, better ways to communicate with my clients and brought new friends in my community.

There are always going to be naysayers about the value of blogging in real estate and say that it is just a phase.  For the agents who are sitting on the sidelines you might want to consider if you are happy with your bottom line.

Do you see your business stagnating and wonder how to give it a kick start?

Are you looking for new ways to attract buyers or sellers without spending a fortune on advertising?

Would you like the opportunity to look at your community with a new perspective?

Looking for new ways to meet other professionals in your area?

And would you like the opportunity to add a few dollars to your bank account?

This month I had seven closings and I'm going to give Active Rain credit for three of those.  Do the math that is almost 50% of my closing this month came from an initial contact from a prospect who found me through blogging.   Behind the scenes I also made two new professional contacts and had two press quotes about the local foreclosure market.

Life is good on Active Rain and I'm happily splashing in the puddles.  Come play with me.  I'll share my puddle with you!

Thank you Cindy. it is always good to hear success stories. I woke up this morning and it was raining cats and dogs and that took me into, don't want to "check active rain today" mood. I did anyway and after reading your post, "it stopped raining"

...as Brian Bolock commented on Brads video from the INman conference it is a convention open 24/7, always learning, always searching and can find out most of everything I need.

I can't wait for my first deal from AR.  Really looking forward to it, congrats!

I have had some terrific results in my 5 months here and am in for the long haul.  This has been much more successful for my team than any printed advertising or web sites that we have used in the past!  I Love It in THE RAIN!

WOW!  Great job!  The Rain is a powerful medium!  I haven't had as much success as you but I have had some.  It's worth the time to blog!

Thank you for this encouragement.  You have been blogging steadily and in a way that is so informative and appealing to the consumer.  Best wishes for continued success!

Anne-now you just have to make your own rain happen.  It seems to take perserverence but it is worth it!

Christopher-I'm sure there are thousands of others getting the same benefit from Active Rain that I am.  Glad you have found it too.

Missy-AR is much better than any infomercial that someone could watch.  You see real success and real people here not actors and theorists.

Steve-It is sad to say that print advertising revenues will continue to fall with more and more business finding that today's consumers have gone on-line.  I wonder how long it will be before papers will stop being printed all together?

David-success comes in many different forms.  The connections I am making are just as important to me as the closings.  We can't work without having support from a good group of friends, family and associates around us.

Elaine-thank you for the compliment.  Just like many others I struggle trying to decide whether anything I write has value other than taking up space on a page.  Sometimes I think I should just spit it out and stop worrying about it.  But what we say or do in cyberspace is here forever.

Sally-this is a fun place....though Hawaii might be "funnier."  I'm working with a nice military family now who just came in from Hawaii!

The odd little thing about blogging is that no one who doesn't blog can know how to compare the possibilities. Those who have blogged can at least gain a sense of what they'd be missing if they stopped.

Congrats on your success!

I'm new to Active Rain and finding invaluable resources for growing our business. We are pacing our best year ever and how to have such fabulous results as Cindy.

That is wonderful, I just read in someones blog yesterday how Unsucessful they had been on AR and as a new blogger was wondering if it was worthwhile continuing, so thank you for these words of encouragement and I will keep blogging away.
