Well all the time spent blogging and commenting has paid off. Today I got my first phone call from someone who found my blog online. What a great day it was and what a great feeling it was to hear someone that appreciated my work.
I guess it is something I have been waiting for but I never expected a phone call like this. I was thanked over and over for the sacrifices my family has made, what I have done for this countryand the service I provided for free in my blogs. To think all of that thanks just for writing about what I do. It was GREAT and brought a smile to my face.
Needless to say I will be working with this client very soon and they are a military couple. I love working with military couples as I am military myself and I know what they go through. I just want to say thanks to the ActiveRain community for all of your help and I hope this is the first of many clients that find me here. For those of you still waiting on your first, I am living proof that in just 2 short months blogging has brought me business and if your patient and diligent in writing it will bring you business too.
Congratulations on your first Activerain client! This network is awesome and I don't think any of us ever expected it to be as powerful as it is. I got an email from someone wanting to submit her resume- because I blogged about a local hospital (she sent a second apologizing for her mistake!) People are finding us and I know you'll continue to have great success.
Congrats on your lead!!! I just got an e-mail today off AR that may turn out to be a good one too and I already have a listing off it. Keep it up and maybe someday we'll achieve a fraction of the leads Nestor & Katarina get.
Congratulations to you! I am fairly new to AR, and enjoy all the knowledge and information that I am receiving. If I were to receive a lead from this, that would just be the icing on the cake.

Very cool ! That is a great story. My wife and I are looking foward to our first lead too. In speaking with a client yesterday, he commented on the blog and that he enjoyed reading some of the posts. That made my day right there ! A lead would make my week ! LOL Great job.
I've gotten two calls this week off Active Rain - and I get dozens of click throughs to our main website each week. I try very hard to post content that is appealing and it seems to be paying off.

Congrats! I am fairly new to AR and I look forward to my first lead as well :-) I would also like to say that I TOTALLY support the men and women like yourself who put their lives on the line to protect this country. I may not agree with the government and I am completely against war, but I support ALL of the brave individuals in the armed forces! YOU GUYS ARE ALL HEROS!
Good Job! I got my first short sale one a couple months ago, right after I signed up! It was great being able to help them get out of there home and it all came from here.
Joshua and Kathy, Congratulations on your first lead from AR. Great work on your part. Also, thank you very much for your service for our country. I'm a military mom - my son, who has served in the Marines in now a cadet at West Point.
Thats GREAT NEWS guys!! I just love hearing these type of stories and it reminds me of my 1st AR lead and how excited I was too at the time!!! You hit it right on the money though, patience is a virtue and if you keep it up success will surely come. Congrats once again!
You have made a valuable AR connection...continue to blog...you make them not only with potential clients and customers....but with other realtors...I am sooo hoping for the AR convention and get to meet the wonderful group that have been words on a page, voices on the phone....

To All: Sorry for taking so long to get back with you. We had an extremely busy weekend. Of course I'm not complaining as busy weekends usually end up as a paycheck. Thank you all for all your kind words. To those of you who haven't received your first lead/referral from AR be patient it will come. I hope this is the first of many from the Rain and we know we are lucky to have found this place as I believe it has the potential to send us multiple clients a month, if not multiple a week. I am a patient person and I know that it will come to that one day. But for now I am happy with the first. Thank you again to ActiveRain and to the community for all of your help and guidance. First off, congrats on the first referral! That is always wonderful and blogging isn't for nothing...as it grows people will be come out of the woodwork! Second, thanks for the post about the external blog sites in AR on our blog. It's nice to meet others so similar to us...my husband and I are a team as well...I was in the military (although AF not Army...) and we are all BLOGGERS! Have a great one!
That's the name of the game, by providing good steady content on blogs will generate leads. Posts like yours are for the naysayers who just don't believe in blogging. You proved them wrong.
