The Build Green Company is a leading provider of hybrid Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) systems to residential, commercial, industrial and institutional builders worldwide. The Build Green Company's patented Hybrid SIP System (HSS) is a load-bearing, panelized wall and roof system utilizing an expanded polystyrene foam insulation framed in lightweight steel. The Build Green Company's HSS provides builders with an environmentally friendly product which reduces construction times and costs, as well as improving efficiency and design, providing for a competitive edge over traditional stick-frame and SIP construction.
Founded in 2006, The Build Green Company acquired patents and technology that have been used in numerous building projects worldwide for more than 10 years. The Build Green Company has since refined the technology into its patent-pending Hybrid SIP System, providing builders with a superior option to stick frame and legacy SIP systems.
Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, The Build Green Company is led by a seasoned management team focused on providing developers and builders with a cost-effective solution to building strong, efficient and easy to assemble structures.
The Build Green Company's Hybrid SIP System (HSS)
The Build Green Company's HSS is comprised of 7-inch or 12-inch expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam encased in 16 and 18 gauge steel framing - forming an incredibly light and solid structural member. Finished panels can range in size from 4 feet to 70 feet - even the largest panels are light enough for one person to handle and install.
The Build Green Company's specially-tooled manufacturing factory uses state of the art machinery utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD), ensuring that each individual component of the HSS system is precisely-cut and meets the quality and durability that our customers are accustomed to. The structure of any residential or commercial building - roof, floor and walls, can be constructed with The Build Green Company's HSS system without compromising any elements of building design.
The Build Green Company's HSS wall, roof and floor assemblies provide higher effective thermal resistance (R-value) than other construction methods. Wall and roof assemblies built with the The Build Green Company's HSS result in 80-90% reduction in heating or cooling loss - translating to lower energy costs for heating or cooling.
The Build Green Company HSS Benefits
Environmentally Friendly - HSS structures eliminate unnecessary waste in the field, while all of the materials used are 100% recyclable. The finished product also uses fewer materials than a conventionally built structure, requires less energy to maintain, and has zero emissions.
Simple Construction - The Build Green Company's HSS is custom-made and ready to assemble; the panels are pre-engineered at the factory and delivered as a complete package. Installation is an ease - exterior shell erection time on an average, simply designed 1500 sq. ft. home built on an existing foundation takes about 4 hours with 4 to 5 workers.
Strength and Durability - The The Build Green Company HSS is designed to provide building owners with long term strength, safety and security - HSS systems are 4 times as strong as traditional stick-built structures. Every HSS panel meets or exceeds any ICBO requirements. HSS structures are designed to withstand winds in excess of 160 mph and meet seismic Zone 4 requirements. HSS panels also protect structures from fire, humidity, mold, mildew, pests and extreme temperatures.
Energy Efficient - HSS panels provide dynamic insulation values up to R 30.5 for 71/4" panels and R 50.4 for 12" panels. A structure utilizing HSS roof and wall panels will have up to 80% less heat loss or gain than a traditionally constructed structure.
