Here, in California, at last count are experiencing 1100 plus wildfires....eleven hundred wild fires!  An yet, here we are, on the eve of the 4th of July, deciding what fireworks we are going to buy!  Fireworks....wildfires....does anyone see the total idiocy of this?  I keep waiting for the day when fireworks are made illegal.  I know...tradition....celebration...well, let's leave it to the pros!  How many times can we ooo and aaah before it seems a trifle redundant?  I am as patriotic or more than most...my flag will fly on the 4th.  My house will be decorated to the hilt...but I don't need to risk fire and injury to prove it.  I say....light the fireworks, and I will put my wet blanket on them!

It does seem ironic to even think of fireworks in a state that has had so many issues with wild fires!

Hi Chris!  Scary comes to mind!
Hi Barnes Real Estate!  ...especially for my 22 month old granddaughter!

I loved fireworks as a kid, but it is time to stop buying them.  More pollution we do not need not to mention the chance of injury.  Happy 4th of July!

We aren't buying any this year either - way too many fires and just too dry out.  We can see the fireworks display that takes place at Carmichael Park from our deck at the house - all the fireworks I need!
