I got off easy this week. My oldest daughter Jessica and my wife were at church camp this week but had to come back early. There was a virus going around and the camp closed the campus early to avoid spreading the bug. They came home Wednesday. The little two stayed with Nana and Grand Daddy Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. So, my two days were going to be Wednesday night and Thursday.
Lauren had a doctor's appointment today so my wife took her and Katie to Nashville. Jessica stayed with me. It was nice spending the day with just one of my daughters. We spent most of the day taking pictures for my blog. I needed to stock up on some pictures around the community and it was an opportunity to show her some places she had never seen. Though the day was overcast and I didn't have the lighting I wanted we had to take advantage of the chance to get some pictures.
Our time together turned into a wildlife lesson. Today, we saw a rafter of turkeys, a white-tail deer, a gopher and several water fowl. That was an unexpected surprise. I had just intended on showing her some land marks and giving a few pointers on photography. God blessed us with the presence of this out of the ordinary opportunity to observe nature. It really made for an exceptional day.

Pictures of Turkeys and Deer taken at Fort Defiance. Gopher was taken in Cunningham.

Great pictures and a wonderful time with with your little girl. Sounds like a win win all the way around.
