We all love sharing everything about Staging  -
but how do we get Realtors to Love Staging!
Some of us do this with marketing - but I hate marketing.
Any of you who know me understand that for me to use the word hate is a profanity - and I use it as a profanity here.

Let's change our language - let's get rid of marketing!
Let's collaborate with Realtors!
Collaboration is inspiring someone to view your way of thinking!
We have to inspire them!

Deborah Weisgall - she wrote a terrific article about collaboration - Searching for the Roots of Creativity.
This article discusses how architects collaborate with builders & writers collaborate with agents and editors -

The creative writer has to collaborate with their agent and editors to get their creativity out there -
hmmm this has a certain ring to it!

We have to collaborate with agents - share our vision!
Don't call it marketing - call it collaboration!
Collaboration is a negotiation - we have to negotiate the process of sharing our vision of Staging with the real estate agent and the happy result is a sold house!
And it is not hard - because a collaboration can be a pleasant cup of coffee together!

 Help!

     Because they  need us!

I like that word - Collaboration - I'll have to remember that one.  Now, back to that cup of coffee...

Margaret,I like your style!  As a REALTOR in South Central Pennsylvania, I am looking for a home stager with whom "as you say" to collaborate. I am sold on this concept, but have not experience with it.  Thanks for inspriting me to look a little harder.

What a smart concept.  I refer to it as being part of their marketing team. When you hire a particular Realtor that we have "collaborated with"  you get their "marketing team" as a bonus. Each of the members of the team bring their expertise and preferred pricing partners with them to the table as well. It is a circle of abundance for the client without the client ever having to leave their home.

Roseann - Thank you for stopping by!  I would look forward to sharing names of Stagers with you!
Since you are in PA - have you ever been to Falling Water?  I heard it was closed for maintenance - it's on the wish list!

Michelle!  Great language!  Circle of abundance!  This is a very convenient way for the homeowner to get the best of everything - Realtor, Stager, Marketer, et al!  Thank you for stopping by!

Hi Margaret:

What a great way to approach the realtor/stager relationship.

I have been contacting managers of the local real estate offices, they are usually realtors, too and offering to do a presentation at their office meetings.  Sometimes, I will just meet with the manager first and show her/him a part of my presentation.

For the most part, this approach has been successful and out of each presentation I have secured one staging job to start.

Hi Joyce!  It is all about little steps - or sips!  Your ROI on contacting managers is terrific!  All the best, Margaret

It's just too bad they don't feel the jolt of expresso when it comes to home staging.
