Spell check won't solve all our problems will it Jesse? Sometimes my fingers do go faster than my brain too. Great job promoting local evens (OOOPPPSS) Have a good one.
Don - No, sir... you're not thick. Spellcheck doesn't work in HTML mode and I apparently forgot to spell check that version. Oops! :)
Paddy - Ah, that blasted spell check... or is is, 'Ah, that blasted blogger?' :)
Diane - We're fortunate to have these fellows based at Fort Wainwright, so we get to hear them often.
Jan - Thank you... and I agree that they do an outstanding job.
Susan Dahling - I just noticed your office is on Boot Road. Seriously? No wonder you have a thing for shoes. :) Btw, directions are here... cocktails at 5... dinner at 8. Don't be late... for cocktails. :)
Gary - We have several Fourth of July concerts scheduled and these guys will put on one heck of a show.
Queen Carolyn - No doubt you're a very proud Auntie. :) We love them as well... equal parts talent and presentation I think.
Cynthia - It should be a great event. I can't remember... does Cherry Point have a Marine band? It seems as though I remember going to a concert there years ago.
Jer - haha.. No doubt you guys brought the house down in your early rockstar years.
Jesse, I have been called many, many things in my almost 49 years but late for cocktails is definitely not one of them!! Thanks so much for the call today. I am blessed to have met so many wonderful people through Active Rain. You are THE BEST!!! Have fun with your friends. The mapquest directions say travel time is approximately 3 days. What day did you say we were doing cocktails?? This sounds like a real road trip. Amanda, back your bag sweetie, we are going to Alaska!
JESSE, Did you hear the Army band play the battle hymn of the republic when the Pope was here. It was INCREDIBLE!! Those Army bands rock. Our son's neighbor has been stationed out of Anchorage; which I am sure is a different base. He got our of Iraq in December got married in January and is there with his bride until he gets out of the Army in September.
I wish our son had got Alaska. He got Germany then they closed his base so now he is getting to do his second Iraq stint.
Susan darlin' - You will definitely NOT be called late for cocktails. What kind of friend do you take me for? Your Cabernet will be ready and waiting... just say the word and I'll start pouring. :)
Marchel - I know you're proud of your son but worried for him at the same time. Give him our best and let him know we'll be praying to keep him and all his buddies safe! The military band puts on a concert every Christmas that will knock our socks off. It's phenomenal.
