Economy Booster - Wright-Patterson Air Force Base

We will be experiencing a definite economy booster in the Southwest Ohio area. As a result of the nation's military base realignment and closure decisions made 3 years ago, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base will gain about 1,100 jobs by 2011. There will be new positions, but more importantly, an aging, highly experienced workforce will need to be replaced. Available jobs will include behavioral scientists, electrical engineers, business management and general contractors. Wright Patt has begun moving employees to the area and hiring more employees. A market turn around in OHIO is it Christmas.. goes to show all real estate is local and each agent can win in the market they work

That is great news! We sure could use a market turnaround, an economy booster, or at least a break in gas prices. Hope this "recession that is not a recession" does not last too long.

Kudos for seeing the potential and positioning yourself to take full advantage of what's going on! Yet another example of how you cannot judge the housing market by CNN! Every market is different.

Here in Hudson Ohio, after a sluggish year last year, we are seeing homes go pending in 10 days or less if they are priced right and are in good condition. Buyers are there...get ready to take orders!
