Blog Design: the next step
Hi everyone, last week I covered the good and the bad about using free blogs for business as well as some things to watch out for(theme spam) when downloading free themes for blogs like Wordpress.
So before I get into all the cool and fancy stuff you can do with blog design, this week I'm going to introduce you to some well respected blog designers who also happen to have some very decent free themes available for commercial use.
Note: Most of these designers also have premium(paid) themes available but that is a topic for a future post.
Andreas Viklund

Andreas from AndreasViklund.com is a well respected blog designer from Sweden and creator of popular blog themes like Daleri Dark and Andreas00 You can see more of Andreas' work here

Sadish Bala

Sadish is best known for his popular Wordpress theme designs like Fall Season and Seashore. You can see more of his work here

Chris Pearson

Chris Pearson has designed of some of the most downloaded free themes on Wordpress including Pressrow and Cutline, two very clean and classic blog designs. You can see more of Chris's work here

Wordpress Theme Viewer

Of course anyone who's ever been on Wordpress knows that their theme viewer is the mother of all of free themes.
Each week new themes are added, rated and many are available for commercial use as long as the designer's credit in the footer(bottom of the design) stays in place. Check it out at Wordpress Theme Viewer

I could easily list dozens of many other great places to find free blog themes but you can do that yourself with a Google search. Just be sure to check out whatever you download for theme spam like I mentioned in last week's post.
Also make sure to check the terms of use and/or license. Not all free themes can be used for commercial purposes.
Now that we've gone through some of the basics about freebies, in the coming weeks I'll show you how much can be done with a free theme to turn it into a totally original blog design that rocks!
