See Who's Missed Their Payments

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York offers an interesting way to see non-prime mortage statistical information at the state, county, and zip code level. Values are shown using a "relative strength" comparison by color code.

There are 12 different statistical displays for both sub-prime and alt-A mortgages. These range from the number of loans per 1000 homes, to how many have had a late payment in the past 12 months.

This should give the visitor a way to visualize how potential mortgage difficulties could affect future home values.

This is excellent.  I love how dynamic it is.  Thanks for sharing.

I like the mapping part but fail to see very much positive information usable here.  If we don't start being positive our clients will never be able to get positive to realize there are opportunities for substantial deals.  Thank you for the post.

if you need positive.

Negative information is the smell of opportunity for those with a nose for it.

Thanks for the tip.  To Wayne, I say, it's not up to us to change our client's persective by being positive.  We just embarass ourselves by doing so and it make no difference to the market.  I heard agents exhort other to being positive in 06 and 07 and almost anyone who purchased then in my area has seen depreciation.  It may be the same for folks in 08.  Folks have their own valid reasons for buying now and we don't need to be cheerleaders.
