I am running two blogs, one here on active rain and another that I self host running on wordpress.  Then I have my old school website and my abandon Blogger site.  I started my Blooger site in 2004, but never really was very faithful with it.  Still some useful historical data on there.  Well now between AR and Wordpress I have struck out in a new direction.

I am going to dedicate my AR posts more to industry specific blogging and try to keep Wordpress more toward my client side of the business.  I have some great info on my old website and will try to figure out how to move that over to the server for my Wordpress blog.  Not sure if I'll keep the old domain.

My wordpress Blog is www.homebuysblog.com

5 Comments on Two Blogs- Active Rain & Wordpress

Ted, I can say that since I have starting blogging (about 8 months ago) activerain is my mainstay, but I have blogger as well. I also write for eHow and hubpages and have two other blogs that I write for through WordPress. With that said, it is a busy life.

Ted: I think that's an excellent direction to take. After all, most bloggers here on Active Rain are active industry bloggers (no pun intended). Your WordPress blog should serve well to those local Simi Valley buyers and sellers.

Though I will say, it would hurt to through something on Localism every now and then (a tip I myself should consider a little more often). The little extra web publicity couldn't hurt (especially with the power of the A|R network).

I like the wordpress as well and it ranks OK. I can duplicate copy my blogs and they show on AR in Google quicker and higher in rankings.

Ted, Thanks so much for the kind welcome. I'm really enjoying looking around the site as there is access to SO much information-- I'm looking forward to putting it to good use!

Regarding this blog, I've been looking around for another site that would be more appropriate for client oriented blogs, would Wordpress be your top suggestion?

I am new to blogging. My website provider has a blog, but it is not showing on the searches anywhere near as well as the AR blog.  And I plan to do more and more localism to increase that local exposure. Even learned how to that digital cameral colleting dust in my desk drawer.

Wordpress has come up in several comments. Is it competitive with localism as far as search engine pull.

Thanks for putting in your word press blog. I will look tonight.
