Galveston County-Protesting Property Taxes

Every year we are eligible to protest our taxes by going to the Galveston County Tax Assessor. You can protest whether your appraisal district increased your value or not. When you receive your notice go to the tax assessor's office on or before May 31. Fill in and take with you the Property Tax Notice of Protest form, included with your Tax Bill. If you need help on how to protest your taxes, you can go to the Mall of The Mainland Community Room in Texas City, May 24 at 1:PM.
