In many businesses sales managers say, "just increase your activity and you will see better results." Is that really true?
Of course that might work if you are doing the right activity. Just being merely active does not necessarily mean we will see good results. In fact the wrong activity done over and over again will lead to greater frustration.
If for example you are looking to create more contacts, just talking with everybody you see may not do you any good. I don't know what you feel about systems but they are important.
The system I work is really simple.
1. I identify key business people I want to connect with.
2. I find a way to introduce myself to them via phone, email, mail or in person.
3. I offer a valuable free gift that helps them gain greater exposure or a valuable tool that can help their clients
4. I look to find ways to help business associates get connected with people who can enhance their business or cause them to profit in some way.
5. In ask for a small favor (to complete a two minute online survey) only after I've created real value in the minds of my new contacts.
6. Then I stay in touch via my blog, newsletter, phone calls and email just to remind them I'm available to help them personally or their clients with our life events legal plan and identity theft coverage.
Increased activity for me is systematic and builds my pipeline everyday with 4 - 5 new contacts. Now I have literally hundreds of people across the United States who hear from me more than they hear from any other person in the Prepaid Legal & Identity Theft Industries.
Believe me the right activity pays off. I've been on the other side and I know what doesn't work.

Hi Ced,
You are absolutely correct!
Activity is a deception unless we connect with the right people at the right place in the right time!
