My thoughts recently have been surrounded by the time we share with our children, it was just yesterday when I was blessed with 2 incredible sons. Just like that they are now 14 and 11, both going on 20. Wow where does the time go???

I am making a valiant effort to make sure I attend every possible function they have... From sporting events to recitals to school plays and church events. I am afraid that I am going to blink again and they will be graduatng from college. I know it's life, but I wish that part of my life would slow down just a little bit!

I'd like to place a challenge for all of us this evening... Make plans to spend more time with our families... spouses, children, relatives. We only have one life to live and let's make the best of it !

I recently saw a realtor enter their home and their kids came running to greet the parent at the door, unfortuantely the parent was too busy on the cell phone discussing real estate. Thus the kids got a bigger picture, that darn phone was more important than they were. After witnessing this event, I have pledged that my phone is off before I enter my residence... My family is more important to me than any client or customer!

We need to schedule more quality Family Time ~ Don't you agree?

Let's impress our families starting tomorrow by making a difference in their lives !st and foremost... The clients will certainly understand and appreciate your new decisions...

Onward and Upward!

James

Family comes first with me.  My children are grown now.  My youngest is 26 and my oldest is 30.  My oldest daughter has 7 children and pregnant with #8.  Grandparenthood is terrific too!  Enjoy them now and well into the future.  One of my favorite sayings is that "life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away."

I agree! There is no success that will ever compensate for failure in the home.

Terri, Well put, I appreciate your thoughts... They do take my breath away. LOL Especially when they both come and jump on top of me!  :-)

James - Family time is important especially for young children.  What is success in your career if you have no family to share it with?

James, Great Post!  Clients, if they don't understand about family, they had better be high rollers!  Just kidding, I agree with Beth, nothing can make up for failure in the home or family.
