Any thought where our country is heading on Gasoline Pricing? It seems that the sky is the limit... Where will be by summer time? Year end? $4 per gallon... $5 per gallon??? Who knows

What is our country going to do to stand and take immediate action on the ever increasing gas prices?

I sure hope we come to a quick understanding that this one issue may indeed cripple of country. Everything is going to be effected by this insane increase in gas prices.

Feel free to share your thoughts and ideas and any solutions that you have to soften this major blow. It seems we are in a quick sand state of existence!

Thanks

James

8 Comments on Gasoline Prices... Where will they go?

I think they need to get some more alternative fuel sources going and lower prices.  We can create so many gadgets that amaze me there has to be ways to make a vehicle run on something other then gas. I know there are some vehicles out there...but I sure they could come up with other sources.

James:  Prices will hit $4.00 a gallon before the summer driving season.  It is not just Americans not being able to cut down on their driving.  It is the overall demand for oil and gas that is now being fed by the incredibly increasing demands for oil and gas by both China and India.  When the demands of those two huge countries really gets in gear... gasoline prices will only continue to rise.

We need to find ways to increase American oil production.  This is such an incredibly large country... there is so much open space... and now that oil and gas exploration expertise has increased... there just has to be a way to increase oil production and refinery capacity.  Perhaps some of the internet billionares... might just consider getting into the oil bid'ness.

I keep asking the same questions! Bush has ties witb the Arab countries and the gas will continue to go up! I heard up to  $4.50 gallon. We all need to drive less, purchase economical cars and it will have an impact! I am not sure the American people will do anything

James- Unfortunately under Bush's rule our country will do nothing but aid the increase of oil and fuel costs (as the bush's are an oil family). Bush also insists that it is necisarry to continue stocking and increasing our 300 million barrel federal reserve (even at $120 a barrel) instead of either slowing or cutting off purchasing for the reserve or opening the reserve to help lower costs one way or another, he also refuses to drill in areas we have drilled here in america before to help lower fuel costs(if demand drops drastically because we are not buying I believe the news said 70,000 barrels per day for the reserve demand drops pretty decent and supply increases (eventhough OPEC is talking about cutting production... to increase prices more basically) causing price to lower on oil which should lower the cost of gas and if not they should get hit with price gouging.

I am glad someone else sees what I have been saying for over a year now, gas prices are rediculous. Regardless of how many mpgs you get you are getting ripped off everytime you get fuel, groceries, or pretty much any other good or service (because the cost of pretty much everything is increasing due to oil & fuel (diesel was $4.19 here today) prices).

Jean- Why should we have to drive less and purchase economical cars, and oil companies can make a $123 BILLION profit?? Sorry, but if I drive less and buy an economical car getting rid of my 10 mpg truck I would have to cut my business back drastically if not completely close it. Just like if you and all other Realtors cut back their driving odds are good you will either have to go no where what so ever in your free time, or show and ultimately sell less homes cutting your business back along with your profits and finances... not to mention the cost of a new vehicle.

As far as alternative fuels this E85 stuff is a joke from what I have heard. Everyone I have talked to have said it is only about 10-20 cents a gallon less and you get lower MPGs with it (it it evens itself out really if you think about it, + who knows how good E85 is for your vehicle over time)

We use E-85 every 3 or 4 tanks full. Just to clean out my tank. It will reuce the moisture content in a vehicles tank. Other than that I see no increased efficency. Something has to be done. My fuel bill is topping 500.00 per month!

James, I feel they should open the Alaskan pipe line full blast and start utilizing our own crude.

Hey James...  Welcome to AR.

Our government is so busy with Steroids in baseball that gas prices don't matter...

and yes, we need to start using our own resources... even with the risks.
