I had installed Wordpress 2.5, upgrading from 2.3.3, thinking that I would be able to use all the plugins that I had set up on the prior version with no difficulty. However, that soon became evident that it was not that easy.
Wordpress 2.5 has a lot of internal changes from 2.3.3. They were necessary to provide some of the new features and to help prepare for the next round of updates. When I went to use many of the plugins that I had installed and worked in 2.3.3, many of them did not work at all or malfunctioned.
