Late last night, Katerina posted the winners of her Discover The Keys To Your Success Coaching Contest.

This was a contest with one of the biggest prizes ever a 3 month coaching session with Katerina.  For those of you that know Katerina, you know that this is HUGE.  What an honor for whoever was to win this.

Well, I enter contests in AR land ever once in a while.  When I first read about this one, I really wanted to enter, but also hate to lose :-)

So, I played around a little with a resume, bio and essay, which were required to enter.   I really just wasnt sure if I had what it would take.  Wouldnt know unless I tried, right?

She had some requirements that had to be met, and the one that I was really worried about was that our market had to be $250,000 and up.

Hmmm, I was gathering all the neighborhood information as I read the contest. This was the market I was switching to,  so I thought what the heck, I am in.

Well for the next two weeks, I was a nervous wreck.  My friends would log onto AIM and I would IM them freaking out about waiting on the results.  I sure am glad they are friends, they never blocked me, as far as I know...lol

Then came the announcement that Katerina would be setting up calls for the finalist.  At this point, I really spent the next several days feeling like I just might throw up from nervousness. What was going on? I never felt this away about any other contest.  I think it was the fact that I KNEW what was at stake.  I knew winning this contest could create something incredibly special for me.

The week was coming and going, I began to prepare myself for NOT making the final cut.  Then Wednesday came and it happened. I opened my email to see the subject line, "Your a Finalist". I flipped, I picked up the phone, called a friend, basically screaming.  Ok, I had to call Katerina on Thursday at 4pm.

Thursday was a long day!  It went by really slow.  I made the call, we spent about an hour on the phone. I felt pretty good about how it went, and if nothing else, I knew I gave it my best shot.  She told me that she would be making her decision by the end of the weekend, such torcher.

Then I saw it, "Your The Contest Winner"  Wooooo Hooooo . So I opened the email and not only did I win but so did

Scott Cowan of Tacoma Washington.  How cool is that!

Now, I had never read Scott's blog before.  Today, when I read her post about the winners, I had to instantly subscribe though.  I wanted to follow his blog and see how his journey would go.  I must say, I am impressed with his local blogging.  That is an area I am really missing the boat on, and an area that I am working on getting better at.  If you have time, stop by and pay Scott a visit!

One week into the coaching, and things are happening.  Exciting things.  I am learning that what marketing tools I was using with success, are not at all adequate for my new market...lol  Seriously, my business is transforming, I can feel it, I can see it.  Not just my business, me as a person is growing.

This is a transformation and journey that I would like to take you on with me.  I want to share with you the good and bad days.  I want to share with you the power of positive thinking is doing for me and can do for others.  So, please subscribe to my blog and follow along.  If just one person can learn something from me through this journey, I will be thrilled.

MY SHAMELESS PLUG FOR KATERINA :-)  If you have ever thought about getting some coaching, please contact Katerina.  I know she only has a couple of open slots,  you really dont want to wait.  Her way of coaching is not at all what I expected.  She is very sincere, down to earth and willing to take the time to help you understand what you need to be doing.  You would be making one of the best investments in your career.

Katerina - I cant say thank you enough for this opportunity. Today was a brutal day, but it is now tomorrow and the sun will be shining.  Let the journey continue.

Brande- WOW! That was one great post about how you felt about being a contestant and how you truly desired to win. You have a confidence about you and a genuine personality. Your drive, action plus desire is what made you the winner. I am very impressed with your attention to detail, the way you will do what needs to be done. I know that through your tenacity great things that you aspire to will materialize in your life. One of the most important parts of being successful with a coach is following through with actions that we determine together are the best for you. Homework needs to get done and you have shown me through the contest that you will stay up til 2 a.m. if you have to in order to complete an assignment. That is what makes success. Going above and beyond. As you know just from what you had to get done in the first week of coaching; it is all in how you feel about what you are doing that will make or break you.

Katerina -  I was absolutely pathetic...LOL  Usually, I am very calm, cool and collected.  Not this time.  It was a long few weeks...lol  The good news is that my friends are still my friends and they know for the next 11 weeks I will be swamped.  That means they get a break from me, well sorta <evil grin>

My thoughts tell me that I better make the most of this opportunity.  If that means doing homework at 2am, so be it.  The journey and reaching that final destination will be so worth it.

Ok, I am off to Office Depot, I have some 25 lb, white white paper and matching envelopes to buy.
