I just started this blog.  I don't even fully comprehend the full scale of the cyber world, but I was invited to activerain and really like the idea or theory of it. However, I really like the old world of telephone calls and shaking people's  hands.  I've  just always needed to see the person to believe that anything between me and the other could develope.  Nonetheless, after just a few days of having my blog up, I got a phone call from a San Diegoan.  I studied at UCSD so I have a few southern connections, but the man at the other end of the line was calling me to see if I could evaluate and eventually list a property in Beverly Hills.  He was a lawyer and his client's assets need to be liquidated.  I did as he asked and he said he'd call me next month to list the proeprty.  He got my number via Google to Activerain to Lynn LeGlaire.  WOW!  That made my day.

Need I say that the call inspired me to blog more, get my website together and whatever else I can do in the cyber world.

It really is about the internet.  Personally, I pick all my advisors by word of mouth.  My doctor was reccommended to me by my roommate 20 years ago, my accountant is someone my sister uses, my lawyer is a university buddy, and the man who repairs my computer is my junior high school friend's parent's friend.  If i went out to look for a Realtor, I'd ask my family and friends who they've used long before searching for someone on the internet.  However, he who comes reccommended is not always well received.  My doctor, in whose hands I put my life has referred me to specialists whom I didin't feel comfortalble with or just didn't like, so I'd have to ask around, but I never have been able to make such an important selection using the internet.   but maybe with this blogging, you can get a true glimpse of the person you're going to deal with.  This sort of slice of life style of writing really is a window into someone's mind and personality.  I really wish doctors had a blog--but they're too busy.  For Realtors, it's a crucial matter of marketing ourselves and drawing clients towards us.  It's exciting.

I'm happy I started this and hope to continue.
