I have come up with a fun exercise that I use in my coaching business, to help bring a client back to some positive thinking.  It's a little exercise to brighten your day and lift your spirits.  Does anyone out there want to have a little fun for awhile? 

What does your perfect day look like?  If you could choose to plan an absolutely perfect day, what would be involved?  If you could go anywhere or do anything, what would it be?  And who would be with you on that perfect day?  There are NO LIMITS on this day, SO THINK BIG!  What's your idea of a perfect day?

When I first asked myself this question, here was my answer.  I'm at Walt Disney World with my wife Kimberly, my daughter Lindsay, my son Kevin Jr and my Mother-In-Law Joann(How could any perfect day include a Mother-In-Law!)LOL.  We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, where there are amazing animals right outside our balcony!

My day starts early and I get up and go running before anyone else is up.  It's beautiful outside, sunny and about 65 degrees.  I get a real good 6 miles in.  When I get back to the room everybody is getting ready for the day.  I get myself ready and we're off for a nice breakfast.

After breakfast we spend the morning at the Magic Kingdom, I love Main Street!  We see Mickey's Philharmagic, we go on the Dumbo ride, we help Buzz Lightyear defend the galaxy.  We do as much as we can in half a day.  We stop and have a nice sit down lunch at one of the parks restaurants.

After a great lunch, we shoot off to Blizzard Beach water-park and slip and slide all afternoon.  By the way, it's now 80 degrees and gorgeous!  After we are water logged, we head back to the lodge to get ready for dinner.  We have a wonderful dinner at the restaurant in the lodge, and yes, OF COURSE WE HAVE DESSERT!

After dinner we head back to the Magic Kingdom and play some carnival games which Kevin Jr loves!  Lindsay gets a fake tattoo and Grandma Joanne buys an Grumpy hat!  Oh I forgot to mention, all day long the kids have been buying and trading Disney pins!  They are in heaven!  Me too!

Our perfect day ends with all of us watching the fireworks above the castle and dreaming our dreams!  We head back to the lodge, put the kids to bed with Grandma Joann and Kimberly and I have "Alone Time" in our separate room.  Hey, I'm a guy after all, and EVERY GUYS  perfect day includes "Alone Time."  Otherwise it would just be a PRETTY GOOD DAY!

Well that's my perfect day and do you know what?  I HAD this day several times.  It's been beautiful.  Memories the kids will never forget.  Neither will Kimberly, myself and Grandma Joann.  That's what makes up life!  Yes, life is hard and business is tough right now, but THAT WILL NOT LAST FOREVER!  Think about ALL the beautiful possibilities!  Think of all the potential perfect days! 

What does you perfect day look like?  Where are you going to spend it?  Who is going to be with you?  What would you do on your perfect day?  If you want to lift your spirits, answer these question, be very specific and start to plan to MAKE YOUR PERFECT DAY HAPPEN!  We all experience tough days, but we all can experience PERFECT DAYS TOO!  The question then becomes, which day would you rather have happen?  You do have a choice!

I have a NEW PERFECT DAY NOW, it's in HAWAII with my family and it involves riding horses on a black sand beach and walking on lava!  It's set for November, I'll let you know how it goes!  All the best until next time!
