It's a great feeling when someone comments on a blog post you made. It's exciting and confirming. It shows that they are interested in what you are saying and want to engage with you. Many times I see posts that people make comments on but the original poster never comes back to engage with the commenter. Not engaging with your commenter's is the quickest way to kill the buzz on your AR post. I am not suggesting that you make a comment back to every commenter because that is too time consuming after each comment that is made. That's too time consuming and fills up your post with a bunch of single comments back. This tends to make it hard for others to follow the thread and other comments made in the thread. What I have seen many people do though, which I really like is make a follow up comment after a few were made and address the commenter by name in your follow up comment. Following is a style that I really like. This sample is a screen shot that was taken from a follow up comment made on post http://activerain.com/blogsview/416359/How-To-Add-an

Few reasons I like this style.
1. It addresses each member by their name, which makes it more personal
2. The member's names are hyper-linked to their profile. This allows other people reading the blog to easily link to the members profile directly from your comment. It's a great way to show appreciation.
3. Multiple commenters' are addressed in 1 follow up post.
Of course this is just my opinion and my preferred style. I would love to hear other's input on what style they use or like.
HAPPY COMMENTING!
I actually have seen a few people do that. I did not know that was a style, but now I know thanks for the tip. I think that is something that I will incorporate.
