So many times, when my wife has suggested that we go see a certain movie with our firiends I've said "Isn't there anything else playing...that movie is a chick flick"?

Now, the Anaheim Planning Commission just granted permission to the Garden Walk Mall Cinema to serve beer and wine!   This movie theartre is the first to my knowledge to be cleared to serve light alchohol beverages.  Despite some concerns about underage kids trying to get served, this was passed 7-0.  City permission does not exempt the movie theatre from following protocol of obtaining proper licensing from the State Alcohol Beverage Control.

If this works out...I might just say "Yes" to the next "chick flick" my wife and friends decide they want or need to see...but it would have to be at the movie theatre serving beer and wine!

Your comments are welcome...

I'd go if I could have a glass of wine or a beer while there.

Actually in Tampa, there is one.   I never made it there, but I have to say, there is no pause button, and as you know, the more drinks, the more breaks.  But it is a chick flick.... lol.

Have a Fabulous Real Estate Day!

Yeah, watching some of those chick flicks make me want to drink.  I mean, I think that's great for them!  lol

I think any movie theatre playing chick flicks should have a mandatory "serve alcohol law" to make the experience more enjoyable for the guys. Great idea

Michael, If Owensboro,KY had that kind of theatre, then maybe my husband would go willingly and more often .  I love the movies and I love chick flicks, he dislikes both.  He would rather rent a movie and stay at home and watch them on his own TV.

Interesting concept! The Chick Flicks drive me bananas (for the most part)...  A guy's got to have some adventure...If not, a glass of wine would certainly help!
