Happy St Pat's Day! It was kind of a dreary-looking one, but at least the rain held off until tonight. Most of the rain is expected from tonight on, and from the sounds of it, it will be measured in inches - so a soggy next few days.
That's not good news for my Agent Open House I have scheduled for my new listing at 6409 Lavernell Ct. It's planned for tomorrow between 11 -2. I hope at least one agent shows up. Usually, I can count on a few agents from my office to stop by. The office is having a chili cook-off after our sales meeting tomorrow, so I know no one from the office will visit. I guess it was poor planning on my part, but I feel the best time for an agent open house is right after you take the listing. We shall see....
We closed on 3418 Grace Ave this afternoon. I represented the buyer in this transaction. We had a loan problem late last week, and it appeared we would not close; the loan file was transferred to another loan company, and they got it closed on time. The sellers were purchasing another home and their sellers were purchasing another home. So, if our side couldn't perform, all the parties would not be able to close on their new homes. It was a tense few days, and I had some people very unhappy with me last week (although it wasn't my fault). Anyway, my buyer is thrilled with his new home and we have another friend in the neighborhood.
