Raleigh-Cary MSA routinely gets mention in national press for liveability.

Climate, jobs, cost of living, strong real estate market, etc.

And we have a new jewel to add to the crown:  Great Teeth!

Yessiree!  The April '08 issue of Men's Health magazine has identified Raleigh as #3 in the USA for great teeth.

Not #4.  Not #5.  The coveted #3, as in Win-Place-Show.

Seems we "Show" great teeth.

Like I say, "Smile.  It increases your face value!"

I wonder if that's part of why Raleigh is rated so highly for singles?  Plenty of single men and women - all with terrific teeth and winning smiles!

Mike, everything that I have ever heard on Raleigh is great. It makes me want to live there.

Penny,

Undoubtedly!  It's gotta be the teeth!

Danny,

I am in my 11th year in Cary, and it really is a great region to live in.

I'll get that relo packet to you this week!  ;)

Mike, thanks, but it will take a lot to pry me out of Atlanta right now.

Danny,

Uunderstood.  I guess moving up from #33 to #3 in teeth isn't enough inducement?

Mike, well since you put it that way. LOL.

Mike ~ This is great information to know, LOL. We do have quite a few professionals here in the area - so it would make sense that we would have great teeth. After all, we couldn't go sit in front of customers with teeth missing, could we? <smile>

Danny,

I'll leave a light on for you..

Darleen,

You have to wonder what category will come up next!

Mike: I'm sure Blue Ridge is waaaaaaaaayyyyy down on the "teeth" scale (kinda reminds me of the old joke: What do you get when you put all the waitresses in a Waffle House together?  A full set of teeth!), but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else!

I know you love Raleigh.  Isn't it wonderful to love where you live?

Kim,

Yes.  The Triangle is great, IMO.  And it IS great to feel that way about home.

Maybe that accounts for all the toothy smiles.

Thanks!

Mike, you are in a great area of the country, your post is so funny, number three (not four or eight, so random!) Keep smilin' and showin' them teeth!

Suzi,

Thanks.  I had to get past a lot of search results of New Kids on the Block to find it.

Debbie,

Right back at ya!  Smile away!  Thanks!

Hope we will have the water to keep our teeth clean!!

Bill, Would you rather brush your teeth, or irrigate the storm sewers?

We have to have priorities, right?

;)

I had my first visit to the Raleigh area over Easter weekend to visit family (and for my husband to attend college basketball games). Upon my return to PA I was lamenting the climate change! Can't say I noticed the teeth thing, though. I was struck by the amount of new construction housing everywhere.

Linda,

We do have the climate and growth thing going on, don't we?

I moved here from Lebanon, PA, and it is a world of difference.

Thanks for commenting, and I hope you had a great visit!
