just a bite...that's allSometimes, the clock says that it's time for dinner, but my body is not ready just yet.  In fact, I'd be totally OK with just a snack, a little bite of something to keep the edge off my hunger.  The term Grazing was invented to describe eating with little snacks all day long rather than having three large meals during the day.

According to the experts, Grazing can help with weight loss because your body does not have to digest large amounts of food at one time.  It is also recommended for diabetic patients to keep the levels of insulin in the body at more stable levels. Grazing also helps to overcome fatigue and prevents heart attacks by lowering high cholesterol.

I see the trend towards microblogging on sites such as Twitter do some exerciseand Tumblr in much the same way.  Twitter and sites like it allow you to access data frequently in bite sized little pieces.  You can click on a link to an article if you want more.  Microblogging is good for the blogger's diet.  It forces you to keep your ideas succinct. Microblogging also fights the fatigue of spending too much time online trying to read long posts.  It will also keep you in shape because you now have time to do other activities...like exercise.

Is blogging making you overweight?  Are you over-dosed with too much information and not enough time to read it all?  Well, microblogging may be just what the doctor orders to clear up the information backlog and force you to trim down your intake.

Hi Lola, I graze all day and Twitter! I like to use twitter to post links that I want to go back to, if it's something I think others would benefit from also. I also see benefits of eating little snacks while I am twittering, as it keeps my twitter time down as well.

Hi Allison, twittering is a great diet for over-active blogging.  It helps to keep you focused and to the point as well.

Lola, I just can't get past the name.  If I Twitter, doesn't that make me a twit?  I'm not ready to admit it. :)

Karen...LOL...You are just too funny.  I agree that some of the names for these sites are well...inventive to put it kindly.

Hi Lola,

Sounds like my kind of blogging, I'm a little behind the times. I'm getting there....:)

As a long writer I too find the process draining. I need to shorten my message. Energy is waning, must reach Snickers bar... <<thud>>

I've never twittered, but I do graze somedays! Once I start it's hard to stop though. :-)

Lola, it is amazing all the posts I have been sent to from twitter and if you had you blog here and outside ones on twitter feed, you don't have to announce them they just come up. I set mine for 12 hours and their they are. I got some people here on AR to my outside blog from twitter that may have never visited it.

Lola, makes sense.  Some times when I pop into a blog and it is a mile long I just feel like moving on because of the time it takes to read all of it.  The bloggers I like best are the ones to get to the point.  They keep my interest and all the need information is there.  I guess "Grazing" would work for me.

Ok, I am just completely rebelling at the idea of Twitter and I just don't know why. Maybe it's because I can hardly keep up w/ blogs and IM's and VM's.

I'm quite familiar with grazing. I rarely even eat a meal. And blog grazing sounds like it's just what the doctor ordered!

Lola - guess I haven't looked into Twitter enough to see it's value - I find it hard to believe that anyone would care what I'm doing from moment to moment.

Suzanne...it definitely makes you trim the "fat" from what needs to be said.  You're only allowed to express yourself with 140 characters!

Andrew...my guess is the <<thud>> was not the dropping of the bar bell on the floor...LOL

Lindsay...the key to grazin' is being light on the calories, else it can lead to real trouble.  There are some similarities with blogging too. :)

Missy, thanks for the info about twitterfeed.  I know you're enjoying Twitter.  Nice to see you around. :)

George...what I like about twitter is the teaser aspect on a blog post.  I'll click on the link if the topic interests me...then I don't mind if it's long because it's something I really want to read.  The best thing about Twitter for me is that if forces you to keep your ideas brief.  I think you'd like it.

03/10/2008 10:28 PM by Lola Audu~Audu Real Estate~Grand Rapids, MI Real Estate

Colleen....I would say ignore it right now.  If it's something for you, when the time is right you'll get on it without hassle.  I didn't like the idea at first, so I guess I am a "former" Twitter rebel. :)

03/10/2008 10:29 PM by Lola Audu~Audu Real Estate~Grand Rapids, MI Real Estate

Sharon, Twitter has evolved greatly from it's start when the question was "what are you doing right now?"  To their credit, the founders were very responsive to the ways it began to be used which were not a part of it's original design such as advertising product announcements or blog posts.

Hey lola, good blog, I am now using twitter for sharing what I find online. I just keep finding new things and figure some other people would find my searching useful.
