Debbie I agree entirely of course! This is a lovely graceful work by Laverne Ross - I've found it so enthralling - he's captured such 'lightness'. Is it your oldest daughter who is African American? Your daughters are lovely young women.

It is a wonderful piece Jan - Laverne Ross has created such visual essence of floating lightness in line, movement and color. I could look at this and enjoy it a long time!

I had to come back and comment! I read this when you first posted it but was at a loss for words. This one piece has such a beautiful sense of motion. The subject of dance reminds me of Degas but the style is definitely not the same. I love the fluidity of the colors that are accented by the obvious motion of the subjects. Very nice!

So glad you returned Rich and found these eloquent words to describe this breathtaking piece of art, Angel Wings by  Laverne Ross. I understand being at a loss for words on this one in partucular - it has that effect -I had a hard time writing it - makes me tongue-tied! The movement and fluidity definitely are remarkable.

Deborah, Kat is a free spirt kind of a dancer, very hip, Megan is the latin dancer and she has really gotten good. Her partners are doing flips and all, I'm going to the next salsa night to watch.

That's so awesome for your girls to be dancing Deb. In my mind dance is so natural and inspiring. I've recently curtailed my tango lessons. My arm got cranked by a newbie and has triggered an old neck injury - 3 months later, it still hurts.
