Yesterday I wrote a post entitled Are you a Social Butterfly. Now, mind you my rejection did not come from this post. Where it came from was a RSS feed website. Now, for you that do not know what a RSS feed website does, go back and click on one of the links or on the pictures of the RSS Feeds as I have attached a few pages that will help you out. So, you want to know how RSS feeds can reject a person. Well, it is quiet simple really. Once you upload your personal RS feed to one of the websites, they will review your feed and see if it fits into their criteria and if it does not, then you get this great big reject note. Actually, it is not that bad. They just tell you that what you write, they can not use because it does not fit into what their advertisers want.

RSS s big money today. Google AdSense along with other widgets can be used to make money off the internet. Now mind you, these widgets will not pay you a massive amount of money. Most of them pay off of IMPRESSIONS or PAY-PER-CLICK. You can find a great blog about Pay-Per-Click post by following the links. As far as descriptions of Pay Per Click, I have done some research and found some great information. With the Pay-Per-Click method, you can make more money than through the IMPRESSIONS method. Some Widgets will pay off the CPM (Cost per thousand impressions) method and some will use the PPC (pay per click) method. Do the research and figure out which is best for you.

Yesterday I wrote a question on another blog site and I got some great responses to the question. I asked this: I am an individual that loves to blog and I would like to make money doing it. I am looking for suggestions other than adding ads to my blog pages. Any suggestions out there? Typically I leave all this research to Rich Dansereau, my partner on The Thornton Team. Rich is real good about going out and finding the information that we need to grow our business and he works hard to forge relationships that last. If you have not read his blog, then click on his picture to the right and get an instant "beam me up Scotty" to be transported to his blog. The biggest thing that I can say about him is he continues to grow as he continues to develop a path for us to follow through internet marketing.

Ok, lets get back on track before I forget what I came here to talk about; RSS Feeds. Well, as I was surfing the great divide, or as you know it, the internet, I came across an a couple of interesting sites. One discusses the debate on full versus partial RSS Feeds. The other is a site that list 55 active RSS web directories.

The great feed debate offers some insight that some of us may have not already known and I strongly recommend reading this if you are questioning full versus partial RSS feeds. As for the 55 active RSS web directories, it is a great way to find sites that you can feed into without have to search the internet.

Now, I know that this is a lot of information, but that is why I added all these links for everyone to follow. Not only are the blue lines linked, but so is every single picture. I am hoping that this helps someone understand about RSS Feeds a little more. Last thing that I will tell you is how to find your RSS feed code so that you can link. It is found on the bottom right hand side of your blog and looks like the picture to the right or left of this comment. If you click on either of these it will take you to the RSS subscribe feature for either myself or Rich.

Danny... never heard of Mary McKnight?  A wealth of information... go to her profile on AR and read her blogs over on her own web site.  I have learned so much from her in the last 2 months.

In any case, I need to learn about the feeds.  But in regards to sites that have those banners so the author makes money, personally... a bad move. It's like a realtor asking for a kickback for referring business to you. If they are that good to begin with, why do they need a kickback? Because that would usually cost the client money in a certain way. But the adds on a blog site?  Not only does it look tacky in my opinion, I am there for info... not to click onto other little annoying sites. And I am getting the same responses from professional bloggers and those as Mary McKnight that own web based companies.  thanks for the info.

Jeff, that is just one opinion from one group. And the wonderful thing about this world is, we all get to have our opinions. In researching this, I found the pros and the cons for it. And just because someone thinks that it looks tacky, does not make it right or wrong. What you are here for might not be what someone else is here for.
