Media : It's All About The Hype
I wish the media wouldn’t jump on the bandwagon
when it comes to continually focusing how terrible the housing market is.
In reality,
Kansas City isn’t doing nearly as bad as other parts of the country when it
comes to the buying and selling of homes.
Housing markets in cities around the country
are so different that it really doesn’t matter what the national housing market
is like. That is like worrying about a national average temperature. If it is 20
degrees in Kansas City, I put on a winter coat, I don’t care if the national
average temperature is 70 degrees.
Last year was supposed to be so bad, but yet that was
the year I had my wife quit her full-time job to help me run my real estate business
because the market in Kansas City has been so active! The negative media is starting to have an
effect on the Kansas City
market though, for it is affecting the consumer’s confidence. The
media should be trying to help the situation by saying that with the record low
interest rates and high volume of houses on the market, it's a perfect time to
buy!
There will
always be good and bad, I wish the media could focus on the good for a change.
So get out there and buy!
