Sign of encouragement.....I have had a brand new home listed for sale for 18 months at a list price of $879,000 which 18 months ago seemed close to the fair market value. By the way that price in my market is the very top. A month ago the seller asked me what it was going to take to sell the house. I advised him to lower the price to $795,000 and hope we get an offer. Which he was reluctant to do. After a few days he told me to lower it to $829,000. Within 10 days we had 2 offers on the home within a 24 hour period, needless to say the house is now under contract and due to close Mar 3rd.
