Yes, you heard me right!  I speak Canadian!  I'm down here in Myrtle Beach armed and dangerous and ready to make some Canadian Buyer a great deal on a Beach Property.  With the loonie now more valuable than the US Dollar for the first time since the bicentennial (that's 1976 in case you forgot), more Canadians than ever are finding Myrtle Beach the most enticing place for that second home, vacation getaway/investment property.

Average home prices in Canada were $ 317,825 in December ‘07, according to the Canadian Real Estate Association.  That compared with $ 255,211 for single-family homes and $ 218,232 for condos in the Myrtle Beach area in January.

With direct flights offered by Myrtle Beach Direct Air & Tours between Myrtle Beach and Niagara Falls, a Canadian buyer could come for the weekend and leave the proud future owner of an oceanfront property.

Financing is no longer a problem.  RBC Centura, a subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Canada, with offices in Myrtle Beach is now ready to give our Canadian Buyers a great deal on a mortgage.  While most banks require a visa or passport, RBC Centura only requires proof of Canadian citizenship.

With oceanfront prices dipping to an all time low-you can buy a fully furnished oceanfront condo for only $ 70,000 US Dollars!!!-now is the time to make good on those dreams of warm Ocean waters and white sandy beaches.

Your clients are going to buy here.  Why don't you link http://www.myrtlebeachhomes.us to your website and send us all the referrals heading our way.  I will pay you a hefty 25% referral fee right at closing, and I'll make sure your clients get the very best deals possible.  They'll love you for introducing them to me.

I'm right here by the phone, waiting for your call.  Or e-mail...  By the way: did I mention that I speak Canadian?

10 Comments on I Speak Canadian and Other Loonie Tales...

I can always tell who the Canadians are: they are the ones wearing only a T-shirt when it's 54 degrees outside and all the locals are bundled up because it's a bit chilly...

Hi Mirela. I noticed you don't write 'eh' after every sentence, like many Canadians say, eh? I used to travel to Canada regularly to install glass cutting machinery in cities like Guelph, New London, Hawkesbury, Calgary, Montreal, Toronto, etc. I always enjoyed my travels in your beautiful country, eh? - Ray

Good information, thank you, Ray!  Every little bit helps when dealing with those Canadians, eh?

Mirela - I used to date one of them (Canadians) and you are right, many words are 'different' -

...So they tell me...

What do you think about the Loonie gaining so much lately?  This is such a good time for Canadians to buy here...

Keep in mind, that the average home in Canada is taken from the most populated areas of Canada; Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia and Nova Scotia.  Many other provinces within Canada are not going for the prices due to lack of people within those provinces.  So yes, many people from Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia and Nova Scotia might flock to Florida, but many of the others, don't see the prices as cheap enough to buy.  As an Ex-American citizen, I see that here in New Brunswick, even though it's starting to transition to a growing economy.

Ann-Marie:  Good information.  Thank you!

How do you like living in Canada?  Being in Myrtle Beach, I'm spoiled.  I don't think I could deal with such cold weather again (I dealt with it in Romania, the country I was born and raised in).

I'd love to hear from you on this!

Our Average selling price is pegged at about $190,000 here in Halifax, Nova Scotia. But oceanfront homes go for $450 +.

Thats a good deal considering your not scraping the ice off your car around the first week of April! We have had a terrible winter. Snow / Ice pellets/ freezing rain - You name it. Oh well - We can look forward to a good long golf season of 5 months.

I should think about linking my site! Not a bad idea.
