If you meet an interior designer and find out they do a little Home Staging too, I have a good idea on what you should do. You see, it is important for all home stagers to be on board here at ActiveRain. Today, there are a huge number of home stagers out there, and it is my contention that they might do a lot better if they joined us here. So, How would you go about inviting a Home Stager to Active Rain, even if they are a Total Stranger to become an official ActiveRainer. Well, to me it came as a NO BRAINER. Below is the invite email that I sent out:

Invitation to the Rain

Great meeting you by chance at Starbucks, as I discussed this is the ActiveRain Real Estate Network. By setting up a profile page you will find that local HomeOwners and Realtors will be able to find you quite easily here. Additionally, these profile pages spider very well in Google, and MSN.com live search, thus, it will drive traffic to you and a few good incoming back-links.

If you have articles already written you ought to post them on ActiveRain on the free blog that is available to you, and once you join those groups below, you can post to the groups and meet other home stagers. ActiveRain also has a sister sight called Localism.com which work killer for clientele trying to find you, while they might be searching around on the Internet.

I would also like to introduce you to some of the Nation's Top Home Stagers if you are interested? And show you a few online groups here at Active Rain so you can scan articles and blogs of HomeStagers around the nation and what they are thinking, saying and new techniques and ideas too:

I hope each and every one of you will invite at least 1 new home stager into the Active Rain Real Estate Network each and every month. Think about how you can help others, who in turn will help you and all of us. If you enjoyed this tip of the day, please subscribe to this Blog.

I am actually surprised that home staging is as big as it is. I think it is amazing and useful. Before joining AR, I didn't realize that there were so many out there. I like your invite email!

Lance - I like the email invite.  I think I might adapt that for Realtors and other folks as well. Of course it makes sense to me to invite other stagers too!

Thanks for keeping stagers in mind.

Now I realize you are trying to get your 25 points, but please, why are putting graffiti on my blog, its like I have been tagged? If you are just coming to my blog to get points, really don't bother. I am serious about what I am doing here, and you do not appear to care. Why are you doing this? Lance

Hi Lance!! I'm testing out my new commenting privileges....

Mind if I borrow your wording for the invites? I am too tired to do what you've done...normally not, but it's been a long day with clients.

I'm sure you are encouraging Canadian stagers be invited too. ;)

Dane,

After getting to know you a bit and reading your website and all the terrific work you are doing there, I am indeed impressed. It kind of takes a lot to impress me these days, so that is a sincere compliment. Yes, you can use these words, and modify them in anyway to fit your excellent personality and style. My thoughts, are when someone in the home staging field sees the groups and what they have been missing they will be grateful and join immediately. Yes, definitely, all our friends to the North should be joining the fantastic Home Stagers at ActiveRain! Lance

Thanks Lance! I will be using it. I'm having my first coffee of the morning and have to think creatively for a flier. A condo I did a mini reno on and staged blew the roof off of the condo prices for the one bedrooms...so now I am going to market my services to the rest of the condo. It's only 17 floors...I'll be having someone else distribute the fliers...no way I could do it lugging my 500 lb butt around!

Dane,

Oh, so that is how you stay in shape, you take the stairs and get a workout? Well, 17 floors worth of flyers if you use card stock, which I recommend does have a little bit of weight? Lance
