Have you ever turned on the TV only to see an Infomercial on how you can make millions in the real estate industry, inviting you to buy DVDs, Tapes, or go to an action packed seminar in some far off exotic land? It seems some of these folks are teaching people how to legally take retired citizen's homes from them, but little tricks in the property taxation rules. Indeed, it takes a ruthless and special sort of character to justify that.
Then there are the legitimate folks running seminars who do training of some sort for services in and around the industry or for Real Estate Industry Associations to train licensed professionals how to do their job even better. Now then, have you ever considered all there is that goes into a training seminar? If not then I would like to recommend this book to you:

"How to Conduct a Training Seminar - A Complete Reference Guide for Training Managers and Professionals."
By Lawrence S. Munson.
This book covers; free seminar training sessions, conditioning, leadership, overselling, peer reviews, and the difference between giving information and entertaining. The book also discussed the costs, scheduling and teambuilding games and icebreakers. It explains that often is okay to trample on the sacred cows, but it is important to make sure that management gives the OK. This book also covers how to design workbooks and handouts or visual aids in order to keep everyone in the flow of the information as it is dispersed.
Too often today, we see ongoing education, causing clogs in the efficiency of organizations, as there is just too much ongoing education and far too many training seminars, that there is not enough time to get the work done. There is a balance, and at balance must be observed.
If you are in charge of doing training seminars (the good kind) then I recommend you get this book and subscribe to this blog.
If you are doing the questionable type of training seminars, then please observe the no soliciting sign, we don't want any.
I am so sick of seeing these as well. Also, can someone call Tom Bosley and tell him that nobody wants to buy into his cheap crap from SMS!!!!!!
