I was totally shocked when I saw this on msnbc.com and they give you the option of embedding it in your blog or website, so I'm sharing it with you!

There was this guy and he and his wife moved into a new place and they had a smelly neighbor.  I guess they tried several different ways to remedy the situation.  When nothing worked he made a website called www.rottenneighbor.com

I've tried to get on the website to check it out, but it must be receiving so much traffic that you can't access it.

Evidently the idea has really taken off!  Watch this clip.....

15 Comments on One Way To Deal With Your Rotten Neighbors

That is classic, but I wonder how many people are just going post someone on there for no good reason or as a prank.

You got it right Chris.  This is kind of silly.  Some people are to hateful to post anything benificial.  By the way we have a right to smell or bark in our own homes.  This just gives buyers even more questions to ask that we can't answer

Fran,

I think the Realtor in the video hit it right.  It helps buyers, but any seller who posts something about a terrible neighbor is only diminishing the value of their own home.  Yikes!  We'll have to monitor this website in the future.

What a world we live in. JL will is right there are some malicious people who would post just to cause harm.  Soon my daughter will be making a web site for the "meanest Mommy in the world".

I have heard about this website, I would be concerned about the neighbors who would post lie's about a neighbor who has there home on the market, just to stop the offers.

Chris: I see a future for Internet Attorneys!

JL: I know what you mean.

Christina and Steve: Sometimes I wonder what this world is coming to.

Gregg: I've found by being on Active Rain and using appropriate keywords hits to another's site isn't really necessary.  I have no problem with the link you posted, but etiquette on here is not to promote your site within another's post. :)

Vance: I believe you are correct, the REALTOR® on the clip seemed to be real knowledgeable.

Maria:Isn't that the truth! (about the world we live in)... LOL, I doubt your daughter will be making a website like that!  Someday when she's in her 20's she'll probably really appreciate you!

Lorinda: That site certainly has it's problems regarding what "could" happen.

Thanks all for stopping by!

I heard about the site, personally I think it can get abused. Neighbors can be so mean sometimes.

What a better way to drive down your own property value?  Tell the world how crappy it is!

Do people think?!

Fran this site seems to be a great place to vent about your neighbor, but doing that at the risk of lowering the value of your own property is a very high cost to pay for blowing off steam.

I wouldn't take this site seriously. It's too easy to make up whatever you want. Or for people like myself and my friends, we'd think it was hilarious to make up crap about each other and post it there. It's the kind of site where I'd spend a few minutes reading the comments just for kicks, then lose interest. If I wanted to learn about a neighborhood, I'd go for the good old fashioned way and drive through it at different times.

Lisa:

I agree on taking the site too seriously......... boy my friends and I could have a blast there too!

Thanks for stopping by!
