The National Assoication of Realtors announced that although the downturn in housing captured most of the headlines recently that the commercial indicators remain strong.

Personally we had a very strong close to 2007 with a number of sales in December and January has equaled December with a good part of the month remaining.

It was also reported yesterday the Iowa Statehouse that a major issue for this term is the reduction on commercial property taxes and most specifically property taxes on multifamily properties who now pay the same tax rates as a commercial business.
