eCommerceOptimization has published a comprehensive guide to popular local search engines and local listing sites. Some are free, others are paid.
This is the most exhaustive list I've found to date. I suggest you copy it, paste it into a Word document (links will remain intact), and go down the list as you find time, adding your business to each of them.

Kay, thanks so much for mentioning our Local Listing Guide and linking to it for your readers to use. I welcome any feedback, suggestions or questions, feel free to reference the bottom of the article to see how. Also, if you think the list is missing a valuable resource you, or others, use to list your business, please suggest it for possible inclusion in the guide. We appreciate the support and link. Keep up the good work on your real estate blog, looks great.
thanks..Kay..we can always count on you for useful info...Hey I have a question...I read a blog that said link exchanges DO NOT help you in search engines....is that true...?
I'm glad you're all finding this list helpful. I'll be using it for my clients.
It was nice of eCopt to drop by AR and leave a comment, too!
Konnie, an occasional reciprocal link with a good site that is relevant to yours is fine; however, you don't want to get involved with any type of wholesale link exchange or link farm - that can cause all kinds of Google issues.
What a great resource. I'm heading over there right now to check it out. Thanks, Kay
