Maine Beach Tables on Sandy Ocean Front Site Oh sure, little white fluffy snow on the ground, but before you know it, time to hit the Maine beach scene.  Plan your next summer vacation by taking a gander at this Maine Beach site.  In some parts of the nation, you take your chances at the beach and many are not all that clean or safe.  How do Maine beaches shape up?  For one of the most compiled lists of Maine's most well know beach, double click here. For everything from boater safety, to how to handle rip tides and many conservation / preservation environmental resources, another Maine beach site here to wander into.  The rocky Maine coast with its light houses and quaint lobster fishing villages attract tourists year round from summer BBQ's to leave peeking ventures in the fall.  But I am kind of partial to the states inland lakes that offer loons, beaches, sunsets, and plenty of wildlife without the crowds of tourist.  Find your own "Golden Pond" and learn about the many birds nesting around these lakes from coastal puffins to lake loons here.  Drews Lake in Linneus, New Limerick and Oakfield Maine has Big and Little Sand Cove with natural sand, a super easy boat launch easy on your car and only 9 miles from Houlton.  East Grand Lake, Maine's third largest lake has many islands to enjoy and sandy beaches on the American and Canadian sides of this 16,000 acre waterway.  Lake links here. Don't forget Maine's Parks like Acadia and Baxter. And there is always the 92 mile long Allagash Wildness Waterway in Aroostook County to explore! Hope Santa brought you a boat this christmas, or binoculars, a new fishing pole and beach gear.  Make 2008 your year to explore Maine's beaches. Life is a beach, a Maine beach.
