Hi There

Are you finding this an asset to your business? I am a top producer user but have not signed on for this , still trying to learn more about it.

Retta,

It has been productive since I started it.  I have put most of my current owners on it, as a service, so they can keep up with their market too.  Plus it is another good touch.

So far it is a good return on investment.   Thanks for asking,  Gary

Eliz,

If you decide to go with this, let me know.  We have 5 or 6 marketing methods to get your entire sphere onto this.  Then they get the auto touches anywhere from 1 to 2 times per month their choice.  Pretty good ROI, so far.

Do you find the Market Snapshot numbers to be accurate? Have you compared them to the MLS? It sounds like a great tool I'm just worried about it's accuracy.

Robyn,

Our MLS is the NWMLS which contacts with Rapattoni company.  The Market Snapshot by TopProducer connects directly to the NWMLS thru at TopConnector system.  Therefore the Market Snapshot stats are actual live numbers from the MLS.  Actives to Solds and DOM are all current.

Check with TP and see if they have an agreement with your local MLS and make sure your office has the agreement needed through the MLS to TP.  It should work great if so.

It is better than systems like zillow that use the county tax records and stuff added in by the owners of homes, because it has actives, pend, solds, etc.

Gary,

Thanks. I really appreciate your insight. I haven't seen Market Snap shot in action yet. I think I'll call tomorrow to ask about my area. I think it will make a great tool. I just really want to make sure that it works as well as it's supposed to before I make the investment. Since you seem so confident I think I'll give it a try. You'll probably see posts from me in the months to come about it.

Terrific Idea- we have Rappatoni MLS in our area so would this be available as well for NW IN?

Do you have another post explaining this?

Thanks

Grace Safrin

Grace,

I don't know and am not very techy on the back end.  Rappatoni has to have an idx agreement with your MLS, then they have to have an agreement with TopProducer to work together.

Your MLS Board or maybe broker has this info, also the TP folks may have it figured out already.

I don't know enough about how this works in the back end to do a post, probably just confuse folks. My clients do seem to like the tool and I like the additional touches.

I like the product, but it relies on email only.  It wouls be nice if 7i users could also postal mail this type of information out in a brochure type format.  Some generation of sellers/buyer are not as computer savy (some don't even own a computer). Making it only web-based/email based limits a large target audience.

12/07/2007 03:28 PM by Scott Wall (StoneHouse Realty, Inc)

Scott,

You are correct.  It works great with the database I have and the easy email and easy automatic updates from the MLS, but as you say there is a portion of the population that this won't work for.  In Seattle almost everyone has hi speed internet, and it is interesting how many hits I get from other countries.  A resident here sees a property then emails the info to their family overseas, who jumps on and searched around.  That is real common.

There are some very rural areas in Eastern Washington where the only email is dialup, and graphics don't work with those folks.  Email advertising wouldn't work where my folks live because they only have dial up.

Gary, how did you get the snapshot to post in your blog?  I'm using the same program and haven't been able to figure out how you did it!

Lisa,

Sorry I didn't get back to you today.  Was slammed.  1 signing and 1 closing, 1 new listing, 1 new listing appointment set and working another transaction around.  Feel free to call me tomorrow (Saturday afternoon) and we can each be on a computer and I will walk you through the steps.
