Some agents use magnetic sign panels, car wraps, or lettering to notify the public they work in real estate.

I have a license plate frame with my name and phone number on it.

Also, I have a vanity plate on my truck that says: ELEVATE!

I like it.  It's simple, conveys my optimism, and is also part of my erstwhile motto:  "ELEVATE YOUR GAME!"  I'm probably going to pop 30 Bucks to the North Carolina DOT to transfer it to the car that I drive daily.  I just couldn't believe it was available, without having to abbreviate or use an "8," or something

Before I got it, I told Sweetie one night that I needed a really uber-cool real estate vanity plate, like REAL ST8.

The next day, I pulled into the office parking lot and saw one of the leading agents in the office pull in.

Her plate?  REAL ST8   "'Mornin', Doris.  Nice plate."

I'm just all that over-the-top creative... LOL

One of my favorites belongs to a woman I have never met; Sandra Mannaravalappil, fellow AR member, from the Charlotte, NC, area.  Here's her plate, plucked from her profile page:

Picture of Real Estate Agent: Sandra Mannaravalappil,Realtor/Broker ABR (Wilkinson & Associates Real Estate) I love this, after strenuously drilling Sweetie to say "Real-tor..."  LOL

I have seen the mobile/modular guys sporting stuff like WHEELST8

What else is out there?

What do you have on YOUR car to let the public know what you do?

240 HOME which is my cell phone # along with a license plate holder which says realtor.

The only calls I have gotten is when somebody called to complain about my daughter's driving.

Mike, No vanity plates for my 545. If they can't guess, too bad.

Our office is full of people who use the magnetic car signs... but I just can't go there.  If they can't figure it out from this, they're just out of luck.  We just moved to ERA so I'm waiting on my ERA1 plates to show up.

Bill,

I know what you mean.  I imagine you can introduce yourself well anyway...

Jesse and Kathy,

So... those plates are yesterday's news?

I am still debating on this one. Great to let people know what you do, but if I cut someone off by mistake, do I want them to know how to find me that easily? LOL

Ed,

Just wrap the car, and put enough info on that they can text, email, call, fax, and snail mail to you how crummy you drive.

LOL

Well - as you know there's Make Offer - but that's not nearly my favorite

Eleanor,

I have also seen CLOSER

Doesn't give me the warm fuzzies either.

Yep, they are.  I probably won't have the new set for a couple of weeks. I'm thinking of putting these on my boat trailer just for the heck of it. :)  Happy Thanksgiving.

Mike, I have debated back and forth about what or what not to put on my car. I am not into vanity anything. And you know it just does not feel right for me to use my car as a billboard.... But that's just me.

My original agency was called The Old House Company because we seriously specialized in vintage properties.

As you can guess, my plate said OLHOUSE.  While I haven't had a vanity place in a number of years, now, I actually think the good ones do a great deal for the agent/company.

GOD Blesses!

Mike, I haven't added anything on my car - although I almost did. I have always wondered if these "advertisements" yield clients? I'm always looking at ROI (return on investment) before committing to extra marketing items.

11/25/2007 02:07 PM by Darleen McCullen, Broker-Raleigh, NC Real Estate (Keller Williams Realty - www.darleenmc.com)

Ginger,

I don't think of fit as "vanity," only as much as that is what the plates are called.  But I agree, I'm not into the whole "I'm Superman!" sort of self-promotion.

Bill,

If it starts a conversation, it has done a good job.  Thanks for stopping in...

Darleen,

I agree, consider the ROI.  So I popped $30 for "fun."  "ELEVATE!" offers good fun ROI, IMO...  Now, when it comes to $2500 for a full wrap on a car, and paying someone $400/month to host the wrap on their car... I get REAL analytical.

Karen,

There's a good one!

Frank,

It would appear that you see value in a personal plate.

11/29/2007 07:19 AM by Mike Jaquish Keller Williams Realty, Cary, NC (Keller Williams Realty)

Thank you for commenting on my plate. It is an homage to my Real Estate Instructor who spent a great deal of time telling people to drop the extra "A". Then only to go to work as Realtor where people constantly referred to me as their Real A Tor. It is really more of an inside joke to my RE friends anyway and it suits my personality to a T.

I like a good License Plate, I always try to figure them out when I am in traffic.

I have had my work cut out for me, to get my Sweetie to say "Real-tor."

She likes that "A" and will stress it to tease me.  I tell her I want to be her "Real-tor for life!"

HI MIKE!

I'm looking to do a license plate frame.  I think I like that...put my site on that!  Thanks for posting!
