The Houston City Council voted to reduce Houstonians property taxes by one-eighth a cent on November 7th. This does not seem like a huge amount and will only save property owners $1.25 per $100,000 of accessed values of homes. On the upside, Harris County cut taxes as well by one cent. It does not sound like a lot but it is at least moving the right direction.
