One of my good friends, newspapergrl, blogged today about Ask.com, MSN.com, LookSmart.com and Enhance Interactive.com offering incentives if you sign-up for their on-line pay-per-click key word campaigns.

If you advertise on-line, you are probably familiar with Google's "AdWords" wherein you select a keyword or combination of keywords that you want. For example, you could choose "new home" +"Dallas" to be your keywords. Basically, you are saying that anyone who goes to Google and types in those terms in parantheses is someone you want to do business with. When the searcher gets their results, paid advertisers are listed at the top and side of the Google results. Depending on how much you are willing to pay for someone to click on a link to your site determines if your ad shows up on top, on the side, or further down.

Ask.com, MSN.com, LookSmart.com and Enhance Interactive.com are all offering incentives for advertisers through the end of the month. It's free advertising money so why not try out new keyword searches?
