One week ago, I set up an Active Rain profile to learn how effective this blogging platform is in terms of search engine optimization. In that short time,  my Google rank went from complete unknown to 3 rankings on page 1!Note: I wanted to keep this post free from too many words but Active Rain will not offer blog points to posts under 50 words.  Hence, these sentences are merely a way for me to learn and write about effective blogging techniques. google rank 10.17.07

Kelley... Have you seen any similar results, with Real Estate related key-words.?

You learned two important bits of information in your first week... First it does indeed do well with google and secondly you need to forget about being short and sweet.... Need those extra words.. LOL

Verry impressive.  Another reason to blog.  Thanks for sharing.

Yes, that is a perk of blogging on activerain. I show up on google 2nd, 3rd and 4th when you google Stacey McCarthy. Considering there are a few, that's good odds.

Best wishes on continued success to you Kelly.  Keep up the good work!!  Pick some real estate related keywords and track your rank as you continue to blog.  It definitely pays off.

I haven't figured this out yet at all.  When I search my own name, yup, there is more there than I'd like to see.  But when I search using "Collingwood Real Estate, my website and home blog come up on page 1 but my AR profile or blog are not anywhere to be found.  Looks like I have a lot more learning to do!  Keep it up Kelly and maybe we'll learn this together.  Glad to see you are so encouraged.
