With the winter months approaching here are some advantages of listing your home in the winter:

It's true there might be fewer buyers, but those buyers are serious, ready and prequalified buyers.

In the winter you will have less competition to sell your home.

During the holidays, homes are all dressed up and that makes it a great time to show homes.

People make more corporate and relocation moves in January than any other month.

Timing is usually better in the winter to sell your home.

Better chance of getting the best price for your home.

If your home sells fast, you may be able to find a great bargain in the winter.

Less competition, you can advertise your home more often in the winter.

You will be able to take advantage of the winter months by getting more specialized attention from agents that have fewer clients in the winter.

If interest rates stay low you and other buyers will have more buying power.

Winter looks like a good time to sell!

Add this one to the list... winter home buyers are serious buyers. Why else would they be trudging out in the CT snow to look at houses?!
