Cary, NC: Thornewood Brick Colonial home

Thornewood is one of those neighborhoods where homes don't sell often.  It seems that residents are too content there to want to move.  When Thornewood homes hit the market, they don't last long.   Most recent sales have been in the $300,000's, and it is reasonable to expect some of these homes to sell in the $400,000's.

Most homes are in the 2400 square feet to 3200 square feet range.  3 or 4 bedrooms, and 2.5 baths are typical.  Many have a detached garage. Lots are from 1/3 acre to a few over 3/4 acre.

Mike, I can see why Thornewood does not sale often; it is a beautiful community!  Do I see hints of fall color there?

 Mike,

What a beautiful neighborhood.  Tucson's beautiful too--that's my neighbor's house--but I miss those big trees and that green grass.

Marchel,

With the severe drought, fall popped up early when we got some rain the other day.

Mike,

I have taken to posting some of the wooded neighborhoods, since relocators who look at new construction don't see many mature trees in the postage stamp lot neighborhoods.

And Tucson is certainly beautiful.  We visited once and loved it!

Mike,

This looks like a wonderful subdivision - with the trees and large lots I can see why they don't come on the market very often.
