OK I am going write about this contact I recieved from my pay per clicks from Google Adwords. We have tried the whole Google thing for a few months now.  Maybe it is just me, but I seem to be spending alot of money on alot of nothing.  I decided to finally cancel it after I received a contact form filled out like this...

Name:  Billy Bob Thorton

Email: joeblow@yahoo.com

Phone: 347-1111

That was the final straw. Not only did Billy Bob email me once but twice, and wanted me to call him at Larosa's. What a joke.  Wondering if anyone else has heard from Billy Bob and if so how I can get a hold of him and get my $1.20 back for clicking on my site. Anyone have any beef with the Google Adwords system?

I get those fakes all the time.  I get them on my website occasionally too, the differnce is on Adwords you have to pay for these people to have a their fun.  I always wonder what they are getting out of it?

I found with Google (I did it for 3 months with a great landing page that a lead generating company did for me) the quality of prospects was terrible, none were as serious as the much better quality prospects I get directly from my website or blog.  With google there is a lot of quantity but no quality.  I let it go after spending a lot of money (over $1,000) for nothing in 3 months.

There are much better ways of spending your advertising dollars.

Your post made me laugh! Yesterday someone signed up on my website.  In order to sign up, you have to answer some questions (basically to weed out the people who aren't serious) and then an email will be sent to your email address for you to verify and you will receive a password (again, to weed out those people with fake emails).  So I get this email that has no greeting, no signature, just plainly says, "I answered all of your silly questions where is my password."  And literally FIVE minutes after he signs up, I get this phone message that says, "i'm calling because I didn't get a password and you aren't even in the office.  So don't bother calling me or contacting me because you obviously can't service your website and make people like me very irritated."  Again, this all occured within minutes of his sign up.

 Ohhhh...working with the public :)

On another note, I have had a lot of people contact me from my google ads.....even if they are insane :)
