Want a fun way to support the local economy, and sample some delicious Lowcountry fare? Lowcountry Local First, a nonprofit advocating a living local economy, will host the inaugural Buy Local, Be Local Bash to kick off its first Buy Local Week (Sept. 24- 29).

The bash will be at V Fitness Center at the Aquarium Wharf in downtown Charleston. Local entertainers Cary Ann Hearst and Eddie Bush will provide the music, and Fish Restaurant, The Sprout, Granville, Sesame and Five Loaves Café will provide the food. Locally produced and distributed wines, spirits, coffee and beer will also be available. Tickets are $25 in advance; $30 at the door.
