PLEASE HELP! - I MOVED INTO A NEW CONSTRUCTION HOME IN DECEMBER 2003. SINCE THEN, I HAVE ADDED SOME LAND AND HARDSCAPING (2004) AND WATCHED MY REAL ESTATE TAX BILL GO UP EACH YEAR. MY 2007 LAND VALUE INCREASED BY 245% AND BUILDING VALUE INCREASED 6.2%. HAVE ANY OF THE ACTIVERAIN REALTOR MEMBERS ENJOYED SIMILAR APPRECIATION IN THEIR LAKE COUNTY (CUBA TOWNSHIP) MARKETS??? DOES ANYONE HAVE THE NAME OF A GOOD CONTACT FOR A REAL ESTATE ASSESSMENT APPEAL??? I HAVE UNTIL OCTOBER 15 TO FILE AN APPEAL. I LIVE IN A DEVELOPMENT OF NEW HOMES THAT OFTEN USE THE INTERNET TO PASS ON SUGGESTIONS OF VALUE. A GROUP APPEAL MIGHT BE POSSIBLE. PLEASE ADVISE. THANK YOU
