I want to take a moment to share a very heart felt story. it's one in a million I am sure, But I feel the need to share this with the express permission from my seller. mr Giles of 12 Aspen Circle in Barnegat NJ.
He was one of the many brave sould who on 911 responded and had to be pulled out of tower # 2. I have been working with him in trying to sell his home here in the great State of NJ. I have personally lost 3 friends in the 9-11 attack and I feel a close bond with Mr Giles. A sweet loving man who till this day with all his injuries, still finds the time to volunteer his services to anyone who calls on him. beacause of 9-11 mr giles medical bills are going beyond his income and is now facing a Sherrif sale on 9-18-2007. His case 6 years later is still falling on deaf ears. the banks are not willing to help, The goverment has not begun to look at his case, he is losing it all. His medical bills are sky rocketed,
To give you a brief little history on Mr gile and his family. When Katrina hit, he found the time along with his kids to come to the aid of the children, although not in a monetary sense, But he raised his kids to be giving..
They formed Kid care , which generated over a 100,000 toys plus for the children of Katrina in hopes to bring a small smile on their face. When we in Manahawkin (warren grove fire 2007) which burned over 15,000 acres which was caused by our military. He gave what was left of himself to make sure there were no injuries, He responded and offered his services to. Once again he came up to the plate.
I just wanted to shre this with everyone as my heart is weeping for a soul who is still able in his time of need to give to those who need.
A True hero in my eyes, in his kids eyes, in his communityeyes . BUT for some reason NOT in the Banks Eye, Nor our goverment eye. I am a full blow All American who loves my country, But a bit angry at it for NOT helping the ones who have helped us. The ones who have Given their time , and their lives.
I am sorry I am venting here. But I am a bit emotional over this man who once had it all and is Now going to lose it all!

Pattie, thank you for sharing about this! I am surprised how so many in Active Rain passed by your post without comment. How sad....I felt compelled to post here to keep this alive. I saw you had a lot of views and no comments. As Americans we cannot permit this. Evil exists when good people say nothing! Sad to say, the tragedy of this day that did not end on September 11th 2001.
Ellen and myself lost a lot of friends on September 11th.
Almost 15 friends and family, former classmates, relatives we lost. One friend and classmate of mine Frank Paumbo a husband of 22 years and father of 10. He was a former seminarian. His life exemplified good! We must never forget our losses, and those that are still suffering. We must remember the bounty we shared in the last few years, and are bellyaching about today was paid for by the lives of others. May God assist those that still suffer, may his Grace protect us from future events, may those suffering be comforted, and may we rise up and at least do something patriotic to make sure this great country and the freedoms we once enjoyed does not slip away.
