Bothell , Wash. - The City of Bothell invites the community to a brief ceremony when it remembers 9.11 victims and their families on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at noon at the Park at Bothell Landing ( 9919 NE 180 th Street, Bothell). The short program that will be conducted by Bothell Police Chaplains Chuck Goodwin and Bruce Ray includes:
- Welcome
- A Capella soloist Sandy Smith singing "God Bless America"
- Bothell Police Department Honor Guard
- Psalm reading and moment of silence
- Brief remembrance speech
- Bagpiper Tim Hart performing "Amazing Grace."
"The evil that revealed itself on 9.11 reminds us that we must remain vigilant about remembering those who lost their lives that day as well as honoring those who continue to give their lives in defense of the cause of freedom," said City of Bothell Mayor Mark Lamb. "The City of Bothell is providing an opportunity on the sixth anniversary of the 9.11 attacks to do that as a community."
