I was a local chain drug store recently to pick up a prescription. While conducting the transaction I glanced over on the wall above an assignment board. Along the wall was posted a saying that, although I did not write it down, said something like this - "people may not remember what you did for them or how you did it; but, they will remember how you made them feel."
For some reason I remembered the quote this morning and decided to look it up on the internet. I found it here.
So, as we go forward today, this weekend, next week or next year, remember it really is about how you make those you come in contact with feel....even other Realtors, loan officers, homestagers, home inspectors, appraisers.... Yes, even loan officers!
Gary that statement is as true as it gets. My goal when I meet anyone is to make them feel good about themselves. It's the right thing to do. And sometimes it may be the only kind words these folks have heard in along time. Spread the love!!!
Broker Bryant - A super goal. sir, one I think we should all implement. Thanks for the comment.
TLW - Thanks for the read and the note. I know you and BB are very busy so it make me feel good when you get a chance to read and comment - just like the post says! Thanks.
Diane - Amazing how we can make a difference if we only remember this words. Thanks, Dianne.
Gary-One of my biggest pleasures in life watching someone experience a feel good feeling! We have to remember we that you never what is going on in someone's life....so I want to make a difference. Moments of Magic, a great customer service book. I love Maya Angelou...
Midori - Thanks for the read and comment. We never know what someone else is experiencing so if we can make them feel better for the time being, we have done good.
Lisa - I would have never thought of you as being sarcastic....really? I am a little sarcastic, whimsical and warped but I try to live by it as well. Have a great day!
Gary, great quote to bring to the forefront. All one needs to do is look back into their past and remember! I can remember positive comments by people made 20 years back! Isn't that funny as sometimes I can't remember what I had for breakfast. LOL
Antoinette, thanks. Yep, even so many years later we can remember the ones who made us feel good and the ones who did not. Have a great day and weekend. Thanks, again.
So right you are. Many people do not remember the small details but they do remember how those details made them feel. It makes good business sense to conduct business with a great attitude.
Good stuff Gary.....
I am featuring this one.....
