I've Caught IT !!!

I think I've caught a disease that I never even knew anything about until just a couple of months ago, and now I think it's infected me!!

........it's called "BLOGGING"!!! Oh no!!!
How on earth did I catch this crazy bug????????

I woke up in the middle of the night last night, already thinking about things I could blog about. How nutty is that? Does that happen to any one else? As I was driving into my office this morning, I found that I was looking at things along the way and thinking about how I could blog about them. What is wrong with me???

I've been 'getting ready' for this blogging thing for awhile now.....I've been taking part here on Active Rain for a couple of months, and then after looking around at other blogs, here and elsewhere, decided I wanted to do one basically aimed at consumers, in addition to the one I have here. So, I set one up on another platform, and have been 'getting ready' to get that one going for a couple of weeks now. I put my first few posts up on that blog last night, and that must have unleashed some weird thing inside me as I didn't want to go to bed last night even though my eyes were closing with my computer still on my lap. And one of the first things I thought of this morning when I got up was blogging..... good grief!!

Is there a prescription for this 'ailment'???? first aid kit

Good work Ann, yes there are a number of blogoholics on Active Rain. I could tell you their names but just their first names since that's all we use at the 12 Step Meetings...

You are doing a great job on both Active Rain and your RT blog.

Don't fight it. Just give in to it. It will win anyway, so no sense thinking otherwise. It started innocently with me. One blog. Then it was two. Now it's up to six! Aaaaaaagh. I have three business blogs and 3 family blogs. My body has been totally possessed by the blogging spirits. I'm trying to exorcise them through my fingertips. I can type 129 words a minute... but it's not working. I thought maybe Halloween would be the end of it, but NO. It goes on and on. I'm a slave to it. I am learning to accept it as my new destiny. In time you will too! Have fun with it.

Hi Ann,

I remember the national elections of "04 and all the hoopla on the news was about how the bloggers were really taking over the internet and all their thoughts on who was going to win this race or that race. Although blogging has been around for quite some time now around ten years it seems to be catching on to our industry now as a marketing tool.

My wife and I are new to blogging and we have also caught the bug. I just wonder how long it will last.

I think the notion of scoring points has brought out the competiveness in me. Got to rack up them points.

Hello! My name is Eileen...and I am also a blogaholic. Right, Maureen?

Now, thinking about things to blog about is normal. I do it all the time. As I drive around my area I see stories that would be interesting to consumers reading about my area.

Yesterday, in fact, I drove by Mt. Trashmore...I think that I'll go out today with my camera and get a picture...so that's how it goes.

In many respects a good blogger is a good journalist.

Hey at least you sleep! I write my posts in my head all day long while riding around. TLW keeps a note pad by the bed for those middle of the night ideas. Addcition is great! Rehab is for quiters!

I was in the required real estate commission instructor work shop all day today. Inside the building there was no cell coverage so I could NOT check my e-mail or my blogs on my Treo all day!!! Yikes I was suffering big time. Withdrawal…I told Jay it was very hard to sit all day without Blogging! Addicted I am!!
